We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Appeals Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing appeals related to reduced time entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client and/or insurance company billing guidelines. This role requires a strong understanding of client and insurance company billing guidelines, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- Independently reviews invoice reductions and prepares appeal response recommendations in compliance with billing guidelines to assist attorneys with their appeals.
- Determines priorities and calendars deadlines.
- Regularly communicates with the appeals team.
- Corresponds with attorneys or other departments as needed.
- Regularly reviews the appeal process for areas of improvement.
- Updates training and workflow as needed based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university.
- 6 years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a labor/employment litigation.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Document Management System, and expense and billing systems.
