We have an opportunity for an experienced EPLI Program Manager. The EPLI Program Manager has primary responsibility for managing the firm’s EPLI defense program.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates with various ODNSS offices and administrative departments to monitor and ensure accuracy in the set-up of new insured matters, resulting in improved communications with insurance carriers and clients, as well as enhanced data integrity and internal reporting
- Develops, implements and maintains a training program to train attorneys and legal assistants who are involved in EPLI defense work.
- Coordinates panel carrier renewal process by working with relationship attorneys and applicable administrative departments to ensure the rates and billing guidelines are most beneficial to the firm.
- Responds to attorney requests for information in their quest to secure new EPLI matters.
- Develops, implements and maintains a process to identify carriers’ reductions from Ogletree invoices, determine why the reductions were made, appeal reductions made by the carrier where appropriate, and, when not appropriate, follow-up with billing attorney to determine if a change in activity narrative descriptions are needed.
- Develops expertise regarding individual insurance carrier guidelines and requirements. Acts as the Firm’s resource regarding insurance carrier rate inquiries, required vendors and the reduction and appeals process for various carriers. Stays current with regard to changes in insurance carrier rates and guidelines and maintains the EPLI webpages on OD Connect.
- Advises and instructs the firm’s eBilling Specialists regarding the distribution of recaps, timely submission of appeals, follow-up procedures and write-offs.
- Resolves delinquent EPLI accounts in an appropriate manner.
- Cross-train administrative personnel to provide back-up support.
- Prepares quarterly statistical reports, including graphs and charts that identify the number of EPLI cases and assorted financial data for individual insurance carriers.
- Manages new assignments and projects including non-panel rate requests, and maintains and updates various EPLI databases including those relating to Claims Examiner information, panel agreements, insurance carrier relationships and Firm contacts. Coordinates with Client Services regarding attorney requests for RFPs and represents the EPLI Department at various Firm functions, including the Attorney Retreat.
- Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience, with working knowledge of the insurance industry.
- A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Document Management System.
