We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join our Practice Innovation team. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and scaling sophisticated analytic solutions that meet the specific data needs of our largest clients. Working closely with the Premium Services team, the Data Analyst will handle complex data extraction, processing, and analysis, providing valuable insights and actionable recommendations through custom dashboards, visualizations, and reports. Additionally, this position will play a key role in supporting the firm’s Salesforce deployment by managing data integration, administration, and ongoing analytics in the Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will excel at working with cross-functional teams, effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and deliver high-quality data-driven solutions that enhance service delivery across the firm. The successful candidate must reside proximate to Denver, CO or Los Angeles, CA and this position may be remote or hybrid.

In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $71,900 and $107,900. In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $76,500 and $114,700. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below. Essential Functions
- Work closely with the Practice Innovation and Premium Services teams to develop custom solutions for extracting, analyzing, and processing large and small datasets.
- Support large clients by pulling data from various sources, including SQL databases, text, APIs, and flat files, to generate actionable analytics for reports and data visualizations.
- Provide dedicated support for the deployment and ongoing administration of Salesforce.
- Create informative and thoughtfully designed data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, and/or SalesForce CRM Analytics to convey key insights from the data.
- Generate custom analysis and reports as needed to enhance the firm’s ability to deliver premium services to clients.
- Incorporate descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive methodologies in your analysis, where appropriate.
- Draft requirements that document the processes and work performed
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to create data-driven solutions that improve workflows and service quality.
- Identify opportunities to leverage internal and external data sources to create value for firm lawyers, marketing, pricing, and other operational areas.
- Manage projects with minimal direction, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed.
- Mentor and instruct team members to deliver exceptional work consistently and on time.
- Utilize Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage workload and track progress.
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent work experience in computer science, statistics, data science, or equivalent field.
- At least 3 years’ experience developing and deploying analytical solutions in Python, including extensive experience with pandas and numpy.
- At least 3 years’ experience developing data visualizations with Power BI, Tableau, SalesForce CRM Analytics or other business intelligence platform.
- At least 3 years’ experience generating predictive and prescriptive analytics, including forecasting, clustering, and regression analysis.
- At least 3 years’ experience managing data within the Salesforce platform, including working with Salesforce objects, workflows, automations, and creating reports.
- Experience using tools like Salesforce Data Loader, Workbench, or MuleSoft for data imports, exports, and updates.
- Ability to manage bulk data migration from legacy systems to Salesforce using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Extensive experience with SQL and querying databases.
- Experience with R is preferred.
- Experience working in a law firm, particularly in employment litigation, is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project management and Jira.
- Comfortable presenting analyses and solutions to attorneys, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong initiative, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and business stakeholders.
