The successful candidate will be eager to learn, willing to jump into ownership of a variety of responsibilities, and be excited to wear multiple hats in the Legal Operations and broader G&A space. The successful candidate will spend the bulk of their time supporting Legal with corporate filings, equity management, corporate governance activities, and document management, in addition to activities in support of Finance, People Operations and Operations.

The Opportunity:
Ohalo Genetics is seeking a motivated Operations Associate, Legal and G&A. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, willing to jump into ownership of a variety of responsibilities, and be excited to wear multiple hats in the Legal Operations and broader G&A space. The successful candidate will spend the bulk of their time supporting Legal with corporate filings, equity management, corporate governance activities, and document management, in addition to activities in support of Finance, People Operations and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Legal Operations for the company, including Ohalo's document management, deal due diligence, and outside counsel engagements
- Manage equity grant inputs and updates in Carta, and support Board approvals of grants
- Lead Secretary of State, Corporate Transparency Act, and other corporate filings for each of Ohalo's entities
- Manage Ohalo's higher volume commercial agreements, including NDAs and Material Transfer Agreements
- Support corporate governance by assisting with Board of Directors meeting preparation and materials development and Board and stockholder written consents
- Support legal compliance operations as Ohalo's compliance program continues to grow and mature
- Support the Finance team with expense management and R&D time allocation, as well as other Finance responsibilities depending on availability
- Support the People Operations team with benefits, leaves, and other systems administration, as well as various compliance-related activities
- Support the Operations team with facilities planning and modeling, as well as other activities depending on availability
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of Legal Operations experience
- Comfortable with G-Suite, Excel, and ideally Carta; adept at learning new systems and technology platforms
- Possess meticulous attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
- Intellectually curious with an interest in diving into various G&A functions to support, manage, and own activities and projects
- Efficient with the ability to wear multiple hats and allocate time appropriately
- Intrinsically motivated with a desire to take ownership of activities and for personal and professional growth
