Job Description:
Our school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for 3-5-year-old children, promoting their social, emotional, and intellectual development. Your commitment to fostering a love for learning and providing a stimulating educational experience will help lay a strong foundation for our students' future success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities to stimulate cognitive, social, and emotional growth in young children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment where children feel comfortable to explore, learn, and express themselves.
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child, recognizing their unique needs and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, promoting open communication and collaboration in the educational journey.
- Promote the development of important life skills, including problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.
- Assess and track the progress of each child, identifying areas of growth and areas that may require additional support.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to organize and participate in school events, such as parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and field trips.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment that is conducive to learning and reflects the children's interests and creativity.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure the well-being and security of the children at all times.
- Facilitate outdoor learning opportunities for students to actively learn and play
- Monitoring play and student interactions to promote strong interpersonal relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience working with preschool-age children, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Knowledge of different learning styles and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs.
- Strong classroom management and crisis management skills
- Familiarity with curriculum frameworks and early childhood educational standards.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear background check and any other necessary state-required certifications.
- Physically able to extend arms overhead, grasp with hands, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and sit on the floor.
