Ohana General Manager Job Description
The General Manager is the driving force behind the success at each Ohana property in Vermont! As General Manager you are the leader in creating exceptional guest experiences, ensuring pristine accommodations, and managing property operations efficiently. Critically, you will also be responsible for driving marketing initiatives to maximize occupancy and revenue. This position is based at Sleep Woodstock, but will also support The Brittany in Manchester, VT.
Your Mission:
- Cleanliness Champion: Oversee and actively participate in maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards. You will work alongside your team, ensuring every room is a spotless sanctuary. During the busy season, a good portion of your time on property may be spent working alongside your team, leading by example and ensuring the "white glove" standard is consistently met.
- Maintenance Maestro: Maintain the property in excellent condition. You can handle minor repairs, troubleshoot issues (from leaky faucets to clogged drains), and manage the maintenance team or contractors.
- Guest Experience Architect: Cultivate positive relationships with guests, ensuring their stay is memorable. Proactively address guest needs with a positive and helpful attitude. As the "Dreamweaver in Residence," you set the standard for exceptional customer service and empower your team to do the same.
- Budget Strategist: Manage costs effectively, making sound financial decisions that balance guest comfort, employee satisfaction, and profitability.
- Marketing Maven: Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new guests and retain existing ones. This includes exploring partnerships, and implementing promotional campaigns. You will analyze market trends and adjust strategies as needed to maximize revenue and occupancy.
