ACCEL Schools is seeking highly-qualified Virtual School Psychologists in Ohio for our 2024-2025 school year! OHDELA is a tuition-free online public school in Ohio for Grades K-12. The Ohio Distance and Electronic Learning Academy helps Ohio online K–12 students thrive in their schoolwork and in life. We are seeking teachers who are excited to create a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods. Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events.

ELIGIBILITY: This position is open to residents of Ohio.

Applicants in California, Colorado, New York, Washington State, and Illinois are not eligible for this position.

About the Opportunity:


The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based Student Support Team in providing services to students. This is a virtual position, but in-office work will be required throughout the year.

  • Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines

  • Familiarity with evaluation tools

  • Complete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluations

  • Complete Assessment Plans, RORs/REEDs, and FBAs

  • Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standards

  • Conduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments

  • Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed

  • Present evaluation findings at ETR meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination

  • Excellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practices

  • Participating in training and meetings as needed

  • Attend ETR/RETR meetings to discuss results of assessments

  • Maintain case rosters for all school psychologists

  • Participate as a member of the MTSS/RTI

  • Hold reoccurring meetings with each school psychologist to ensure compliancy

  • Plan and hold professional development and training for staff

  • Supervise a team of school psychologists

About You:

  • Master's Degree or Ed.S degree

  • Professional Ohio License

  • Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality

  • Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic

  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations

  • Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated

  • Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare

  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently

  • Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team members

  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team

  • Understanding and ability to manage confidential information

  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
