Ohel seeks an experienced and creative Director to lead our staff recruitment and engagement efforts, the Volunteer Department, HR functions and employee relations. With our current strategic expansion plans, this Director plays a pivotal role in recruiting, training and preparing our staff for the future.
We seek a leader with excellent communication skills, judgement, creativity, listening skills, and the ability to balance the needs of the organization as well as its workforce. This passionate leader should be self-motivated, conduct themselves with integrity and must maintain discretion.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop innovative strategies and lead Agency’s Recruitment team in successfully attracting and referring quality candidates for open positions
- Supervise the Internship program throughout the agency
- Create dynamic staff engagement programs leading to successful employee satisfaction and retention, including mentorship programs, leadership development programs, staff appreciation events and internal information sharing tools
- Coach and provide expertise in employee relations and performance management, ensuring successful partnerships with leadership and employees alike across the agency
- Direct and oversee management on disciplinary matters, assist employees with concerns or complaints, conduct employment-related functions including investigations, suspensions and terminations
- Maintain awareness of industry HR related requirements and best practices, enforce existing Agency policies, and collaborate in developing new policies
- Lead the growth and development of the agency Volunteer cohort in collaboration with the Coordinator of Volunteer Engagement
Successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a related field, Masters preferred and 10 years plus of related experience.
