Allstate Can, a division of The Ohio Art Company, is in need of a Machine Operator Lead for the 2nd shift. This position will require work on-site 5 nights a week with overtime potential on weekends. (Mon-Fri 4:30pm-1am). The Machine Operator Lead will be responsible for the efficient operation of machinery used in the metal fabrication and manufacturing process as well as possess mechanical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction, guidance and support to machine operators on the second shift.
- Coordinate and oversee all activities, including production schedules, machine set ups and workflow management.
- Ensure products are made to quality standards.
- Install, configure, and operate production equipment to exact specifications and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to tailor equipment settings for optimal production output.
- Execute routine maintenance procedures on equipment to prevent breakdowns and uphold peak performance standards.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions through systematic troubleshooting and timely repairs.
- Maintain meticulous records documenting equipment maintenance and repair activities.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe work environment.

Successful candidates must display a willingness to work overtime hours as needed and possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a machine operator, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to motivate and mentor others.
- Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
