The Chief of Human Resources will plan, direct, and oversee all activities and personnel of the Human Resources Division.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Defines goals & objectives as related to human resources (i.e., HR) & personnel (e.g., recruitment, classification/compensation, performance, payroll, benefits, training/development, selection, collective bargaining, EEO, employee relations)
- Formulates & sets agency HR policy
- Coordinates AGO efforts and communication with bargaining units on contract matters, personnel issues, and other issues as assigned.
- Serves as a lead resource on all personnel matters and helps to enforce federal, state and local work requirements, as well as AGO policies.
- Directs development of plans for all HR functions including the development of the HR budget
- Directs development of agency organizational structure & staffing patterns.
- Implements HR programs through complex decision processes involving
- Meets with agency staff (e.g., Attorney General, COS, division chiefs, section

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or public administration
- 5 years of senior level management
- Graduate degree
- Previous State of Ohio human resources experience
