Position Type: Full-Time, Hybrid--Staff residing within the state of Ohio will be expected to attend meetings and events as required by their position or requested by their supervisor. These meetings may be held anywhere in Ohio, typically in Columbus.

Role Overview:
Join our team as a Marketing & Communications Coordinator and help amplify the mission of the Ohio Children’s Alliance and the Child & Family Health Collaborative of Ohio. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will collaborate with a passionate and strategic team to execute impactful campaigns, craft compelling content, and connect with audiences through email, social media, and other traditional or non-traditional techniques. Your creativity will shine as you curate multimedia resources, and foster meaningful engagement with members, community stakeholders, and our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Content Creation
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of content for social media, newsletters, and other digital platforms - engage with followers and respond to inquiries, fostering a sense of community and support
- Capture and curate multimedia content, including photos, videos, quotes, and testimonials, to develop a robust library of resources for use across various marketing and communication channels
- Help manage website updates and ensure content is current, accurate, and aligned with branding standards
- Design simple graphics and promotional materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Campaign Coordination & Analytics
- Coordinate with the Marketing & Communications Manager to execute campaigns, including email marketing, social media engagement, and organizational initiatives
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics for digital marketing campaigns, providing insights for improvement - manage and segment email lists for targeted outreach
- Conduct research on marketing trends, nonprofit communication strategies, and target audience engagement techniques to help guide future engagement
Public Relations & Outreach
- Distribute and assist with press releases, media alerts, and other public relations materials to media contacts
- Help maintain relationships with local and national media outlets to secure press coverage for key events and initiatives
Collaboration & Administrative Support
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals and initiatives
- Support the production of marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, and promotional materials
- Ensure all designs align with the organization’s brand guidelines and voice
- Assist with minimal fundraising activities and help solicit corporate and event sponsors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of experience in a marketing or communications role (internships or volunteer experience welcome)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact), and content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
- Basic graphic design skills, with proficiency in tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
