Conducting mental health evaluations of patients.
2. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging and assessments.
3. Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions and illnesses.
4. Developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients.
5. Prescribing medications and other treatment regimens.
6. Providing counseling and education to patients and their families.
7. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
8. Monitoring and managing chronic conditions, such as depression and anxiety.
9. Promoting disease prevention and health promotion through patient education.
10. Participating in research studies and staying up-to-date with advancements in healthcare.
11. Supervising and guiding other healthcare staff, such as registered nurses and medical assistants.
12. Leading and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
13. Adhering to legal and ethical standards in patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
14. Documenting patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly.
- Provide quality patient care within our clinic as scheduled by department coordinator.
- Work in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients.
- Performs assessment via observation, interview and examination.
- Prescribe medications or make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
- Provides accurate and timely documentation of assessment and patient care plan.
- Ensure effective communication skills and be able to advise and provide information to patients, caretakers, or family members as needed.
- Can pay attention to detail and accuracy of documentation of records.
- Has the ability to work in a high-volume caseload environment and deal effectively with rapidly changing priorities.
- Demonstrates evidence of effective organizational, leadership, communication, education, collaboration and counseling skills.
- Frequently accesses email to stay up to date on new information within the organization and to provide a means of communication between staff members.
- Performs all procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures of OCH and adheres to legal compliance policies and other regulatory issues.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Current licensure as an APRN
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: 1 year required but 2 years experience in clinic health preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: CPR certification or willing to obtain within six months of hire.
