Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled school groundskeeper to join our team at Ohio County Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of school buildings and grounds, including performing routine custodial activities, operating and maintaining powered cleaning equipment, and providing manual labor for various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine custodial activities to maintain buildings, locker rooms, and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition.
- Use cleaning materials, equipment, and methods according to predetermined standards.
- Learn and apply knowledge of schedules, procedures, and use of equipment and supplies used in custodial work.
- Provide manual labor for various tasks, including moving furniture and equipment, setting up tables, chairs, exhibits, and displays, and loading and unloading trucks.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED certificate and previous experience as a custodian is desired but not essential. They must also meet health requirements as specified in district personnel policy.
