What You'll Do:
ODH is seeking a College Intern to work throughout the school year. This position will work under the guidance of the Child Specialty Services Supervisor to gain knowledge and experience in the asthma program. The intern will assist with communication, design Facebook and Instagram posts to disseminate asthma educational material. This position will allow students to gain real-world experience and develop their skills.
The ideal candidate will major in communications and/or marketing. Experience with Adobe Software Programs (such as Premier Pro, Photoshop), social media platform algorithms. Basic knowledge of Asthma is a plus.
Must have strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm (Flexible) 15-20 hours per week.
Compensation:
Must be an active student currently and pursuing a degree with an area of concentration in communications and/or marketing or a related field.

This position is in the Bureau of Maternal, Child, and Family Health’s (BMCFH) Asthma Program. Asthma is a serious life-long disease of the lungs that is caused by swelling (inflammation) in the airways. It can cause breathing problems known as asthma attacks and cause wheezing, cough, and shortness of breath.
ODH’s Asthma Program raise awareness, spread information regarding asthma causes, reduce asthma hospitalization and reduce asthma disparities for racial and low socioeconomic groups.

- Work with managers to develop, write/execute and maintain accurate and up-to-date marketing content.
- Participate in video production (filming, editing, etc.).
- Participate in the creation, production, and implementation of social media posts.
- Track analytics and identify areas to optimize online presence.
- Keep organized records of metrics and results of past campaigns.
- Provide insight to the team on a weekly basis to inform future initiatives.

- Freshman & Sophomore: $18.00
- Junior & Senior: $20.00
- PHD: $22.00
