The Ohio Department Insurance, Office of Information Technology and Security (OITS), is seeking an experienced .NET Solution Architect that serves as a technical expert responsible for the design, implementation, and support of .NET technology solutions in current and future state. This role includes building, maintaining, and operationalizing infrastructure, security services, and system components on on-prem or government cloud service providers to deliver highly available and scalable services. The level of work required is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do
Primary Technology: .NET Framework
Secondary Technology: Azure, SQL Server
Your Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Education Core undergraduate program in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience. AND Experience Minimum 4 years combined work experience in any combination of the following: assisting with development and updates to the strategic Information Technology plan, participating in work groups to author Information Technology plan by discipline/program team and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design for assigned discipline/program team (e.g., software development, infrastructure, database administration, security) including 2 years technology related work experience as specified by the agency position description and vacancy/job posting. Note: the official position description on file with the designated agency is to reflect, in the minimum acceptable characteristics, the required technology related experience. Only those applicants possessing the required technology related experience listed in the position description are to be considered for any vacancies posted. What You’ll Do

- Lead complex initiatives for organizational improvement frameworks in assigned discipline/program (i.e., Azure, .NET Framework)
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines and standards.
- Work as the expert in project management methodologies and risk identification and mitigation.
- Writes & modifies large &/or complex programs; works independently coding programs & using high-level computer languages (e.g., C#, .NET, SQL); designs logical, sequential flow charts, file layouts & screen layouts; develops, writes & tests stored procedures; writes programs accessing rational databases.
