What You Will Be Doing

• Preliminary and detail design reviews of bridge plans for design-bid-build and design-build projects as well as value engineering change proposals on active construction projects.
• Troubleshooting bridge construction issues.
• Assisting districts with scoping complex and emergency bridge projects
• Collaborating with peers to affect positive changes to ODOT bridge design and construction policies

Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors;

12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 3, 85643; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project

sites, must possess valid driver’s license.

• Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers &
  
  

Surveyors; 2 yrs. exp. as group or project leader or supervisor providing work direction & training to employees engaged

in engineering projects or 2 yrs. exp. in managing engineering research projects (i.e., managing research projects applies

only to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess

valid driver’s license.

• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience
