As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment within our manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in mechanical knowledge, industrial maintenance, and electrical experience to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Your proficiency with precision measuring instruments and schematics will aid in maintaining high operational standards. Additionally, your premium skills in programmable logic controllers and hydraulics will enhance our production efficiency. Duties:
· Install, maintain and repair all equipment, buildings and grounds.
· Perform routine servicing of forklift truck equipment. As needed for production use.
· Perform checks and balances on machines to assure the proper functioning of systems.
· Replace repairs and calibrate various machine components on a routine basis.
· Inspect, test, and adjust all systems, machinery and equipment on a regular basis.
· Record inspections, tests and repairs on preventive maintenance stickers and/or electronic documentation.
· Understand and follow company safety procedures.
· Respond to verbal or written instructions for safety and security calls regarding machinery.
· Plan and layout work from blueprints, diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturers' specifications and other requirements to properly set up and fix machine problems.
· Disassemble equipment using hand tools and power tools as required.
· Inspect damaged parts, determine the nature of repair and use repair tools to rework or refinish worn or damaged parts.
· Install special functional and structural parts and equipment.
· Reassemble equipment and test machine performance as needed.
· Set up new machines to wiring systems as needed.
· Records written recommendations on repair work needed.
· Identify and receive parts from manufacturers of equipment and other repair and maintenance items.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and electrical schematics.
· Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment (to include digital and analog meters, and amp meters for AC/DC testing)
· Ability to use and care for precision measuring equipment and tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other tools and gauges.
· Ability to repair and maintain engines and motors
· Knowledge of both metric and inch measuring systems.
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and geometry.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Oral, written and technical communication skills are necessary for this position.
· Math, reading and mechanical aptitude.
· Organization and time management skills
Education/Training:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 2 years’ experience of electrical, mechanical and motor experience.
