Student employment opportunity available to support the ONU Institute for Civics and Public Policy as one of the co-hosts of the un-CAPP it! Podcast.
a) Write script outlines and record episodes
b) Research topics and podcast material
c) Contribute to and support key ICAPP initiatives, including:
a) Write script outlines and record episodes
b) Research topics and podcast material
c) Contribute to and support key ICAPP initiatives, including:
- Plan and participate in civic engagement events
- Contribute to the creation of Critical Questions (brainstorm ideas, research material, or write questions)
- Create material for social media
The use of studio equipment and editing
software will be taught on the job. Prior
knowledge is beneficial but not required.
Principal Responsibilities
a) Write script outlines
b) Record episodes and discuss political
topics in a neutral and unbiased
manner
c) Edit episodes
d) Collaborate with co-host
e) Produce social media content related
to the podcast
f) Schedule and communicate with
guests
g) Communicate with ICAPP’s
director/advisor
h) Facilitate co-host transition when
co-hosts graduate/retire
