Job Description
The Automated Clinical Laboratory Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory results. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex instrumentation, analyzing specimens, and implementing solutions to ensure the highest level of quality control. You will work closely with our medical team to provide accurate and timely results, while adhering to strict safety protocols to prevent exposure to infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Instrumentation Maintenance: Regularly maintain and troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Safety Procedures: Adhere to established safety protocols to prevent exposure to infectious diseases, such as HIV and other blood-borne pathogens.
- Specimen Analysis: Analyze specimens, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure the highest level of quality control.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in clinical laboratory science, including:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science).
- Completion of an approved certification program, such as ASCP Certification.
