Job Description Summary :
The duties of this position includes but is not limited to accurate, precise,and timely patient test results for the diagnosis and management of humanillness. Position utilizes automation and computerization, and manual methods.Responsible for quality control and instrument operation, maintenance andtroubleshooting. May be involved in teaching and training, but not in aleadership position. Position handles blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum,urine, spinal fluid and other body fluids. Specimens may be contaminated withinfectious diseases including HIV and other blood borne pathogens.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree (Required)ASCP - American Society for Clinical Pathology -American Society for Clinical PathologyAmerican Society for ClinicalPathologyAmerican Society for Clinical PathologyFour year Bachelor of Science Degree. Registered by the American Society ofClinical Pathologists. AMT Certification is considered equivalent to ASCP. Orcompletion of all required course work for Bachelor’s degree and completion ofASCP Certification . Superior customer service skills. Experience in anautomated clinical laboratory
