Job Description Summary
The parking attendant will be trained in shuttle and valet. The parking attendant is often the first and last person our customer sees and has a lasting impression on the patient. Attendants are responsible for ensuring associates, visitors, and patients arrive safely at their destination.

Job Description Summary

Responsibilities And Duties
Shuttle Driving
- Greet all customers boarding the shuttle, provide friendly, professional service.
- Safely drive customers to their destination, keeping in mind their comfort and all applicable traffic laws.
- Complete all documentation, log sheets, vehicle check list, accident reporting, mileage tracking, defect tracking etc. Reporting all maintenance concerns. Report any damage / accident before the end of your shift
- Use appropriate techniques to assist customers with mobility issues. (Wheel chair lift and tie-downs).
- Keep shuttles clean.
- Follow all driver expectations (2 minute wait, shuttle bus stops, etc.).
- Cover as needed in other Parking functions office, shuttle, booth or maintenance.
- Greet the customer; proactively approach the customer to discover what assistance they need. Assist customer in finding their way to their desired location.
- Assist the customer out of their vehicle is necessary (may require lift)
- Safely park customers’ vehicle in the appropriate parking location after pre-checking vehicle for damages. Record any pre-existing damages. Safely return vehicles to owners when appropriate.
- Track all vehicles with valet lot sheet and valet claim tickets, include all information in both documents.
- Keep entry areas clear of parked vehicles.
- Keep the valet entry areas clean.
- Monitor valet areas for smokers, ask all smoking visitors to move to another location off of hospital property.
- Record and track all financial transactions, including receiving vouchers or payment for valet services as well as refunding customers for PIL payments.
- Cover as needed in other Parking functions office, shuttle, booth or maintenance
- Greet the customer; proactively approach the customer to discover what assistance they need. Assist customer in finding their way to their desired location.
- Assist the customer out of their vehicle is necessary (may require lift)
