POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Plumber is responsible for the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures for drainage and water systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of inspecting work sites to determine the type and amount of material/equipment required for.
- Testing plumbing systems to identify leaks and other faults.
- Troubleshooting plumbing fixtures to perform repair or replacement of damaged components.
- Perform schedule maintenance to ensure plumbing equipment are functioning efficiently.
- Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA Standards and internal safety policies and procedures.
- Operates company vehicles as required.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned.
- Supports the Maintenance department as needed and assigned.
- Responsible for use and care of tools and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned or directed.
- Must have a valid New Mexico Drivers License
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must have five (5) years’ experience in Maintenance, certification as a plumber.
EQUIPMENT:
Use of all hand tools common to the trades listed above. Equipment used in measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipes and other plumbing structures.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work with diversified customers, ability to work independently and under customer demands.
Alertness and careful attention is required to avoid injury to self and/or others. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Subject to extreme temperatures, conditions and changes. Subject to stressful conditions during peak service hours, periods when employees have not arrived or are out sick. Subject to slips and falls on slippery floors, as well as crowded conditions in a stressful environment.
