Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare food for service (i.e. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces), using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment
- Restock and/or break down workstation at the conclusion of the shift
- Assist in controlling product costs by ensuring the proper management of product waste
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met
- Speed and efficiency are of the CRUCIAL, and the ability to multi-task
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
- Minimum Two (2) years high-volume restaurant experience
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- An upbeat and friendly attitude
- Serv-Safe Certification a PLUS!
- Open availability and flexible schedule for demanding hours
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more
