Shop Assistant

*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. This role is crucial in supporting the production process, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. *Responsibilities* - Assist in the assembly of products on the production line, ensuring quality standards are met. - Operate forklifts and other power tools safely to move materials and products throughout the warehouse. - Fabricate components as needed using hand tools and machinery, adhering to safety protocols. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. - Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues on the assembly line and suggest improvements for efficiency. - Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills related to manufacturing processes and safety practices. *Qualifications* - Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting is preferred. - Familiarity with assembly line processes and mechanical systems is a plus. - Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts; certification may be required. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
