Responsible for ensuring that small projects or sub-scopes of large projects are executed in accordance with contractual obligations meeting technical and quality contract deliverables, and applying safety requirements per ATS Safety Procedure, within planned budget and schedule constraints. The ideal candidate will be able to interface with customers to determine Work Scopes for potential projects, prepare Proposals/Quotes for presentation to customers that include technical, manpower, and equipment requirements, manage interfaces with customers, Engineering/Inspection personnel as well as shop employees, manage project budget, schedule, and coordinate activities to ensure project completion within budget and contracted schedule, identify required subcontract activities, i.e., machining, NDE, DT, and coordinate scheduling as necessary, prepare detailed fabrication record reports for submittal to customers upon completion of project, develop and qualify welding techniques per applicable code/spec write welding procedures and submit procedures to customer or for internal use.
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
· BS Degree (minimum) in Engineering; Welding Engineering preferred, Welding Engineering Technology or Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical, with experience related to welding acceptable.
· Must have successfully passed the NCEES FE Exam or have plans to take it within a year of graduation.
· 3 years' industrial experience in Engineering, related to welding fabrication (preferably Oil & Gas industry).
· Working knowledge of applicable design Codes and Standards (AWS, ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).
· Working knowledge with most Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Adobe, etc).
· A self-starter, able to complete tasks with a minimum of guidance/supervision.
· Must be detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task.
· Interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, in the English language.
· Assign priorities and resolve conflicts within daily routine tasks.
· Ability to work as a TEAM player.
· Ability to travel required.
