Residential Technician – Ojai Recovery (Ventura County)
Ojai Recovery, a premier detox and residential treatment center in Ventura County, is seeking a dedicated Residential Technician to join our team. We provide compassionate, client-centered care in a supportive and structured environment to individuals on their recovery journey.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support clients in a residential treatment setting
- Monitor client safety and well-being, conducting routine wellness checks "rounds "
- Assist with daily activities, including meals, transportation, and structured programming
- Leading "Groups" therapy
- Enforce program rules and policies while fostering a supportive atmosphere
- Administer and document medications as directed (training provided)
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with clinical and medical staff
- Respond to crisis situations and assist in de-escalation as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- RADT certification required before starting to work at Ojai Recovery
- Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to set professional boundaries while maintaining a compassionate approach
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
