Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club is currently seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk.The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, and various other transactional issues. The Accounts Payable Clerk must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and follow through on assignments.
To be successful as an Accounts Payable Clerk you should be able to efficiently coordinate accounting tasks, strictly follow company policies and legal regulations, and possess strong people skills.
Accounts Payable Clerk Job Responsibilities:
· Analyzes and processes accounts payable in a timely manner
· Codes such items as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system
· Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email
· Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices
· Prepares check requests, wire transfers, and ACH transactions
· Reconciles various accounts on a monthly basis, bringing any discrepancies to the attention of the Controller
· Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
· Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports
· Assist in compiling information and preparing responses to auditors during the annual external audit
· Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department
Education/Training/Experience:
· Strong analytical skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Microsoft excel proficiency
· Associates degree or combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
