Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and be proficient in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting our overall business operations.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions in the general ledger.
- Perform account analysis to ensure all entries are correct and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for efficient bookkeeping practices.
- Assist with corporate accounting tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Support governmental accounting processes as needed, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify areas for improvement or correction.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record management.
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with corporate accounting practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles is beneficial but not required.
- Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making purposes.
- Knowledge in the Equine Industry is a plus.
