SUMMARY
Performs various duties associated in the administration of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complies with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HCV regulations and agency policies at all times.
- Schedules, notifies and conducts telephone and face-to-face interviews with program applicants/participants and coordinates the use of office space for this purpose.
- Responsible to review and process all annual and interim re-exam documents for the family, processes any changes reported or notices to move or transfer assistance.
- Determines rent reasonableness, reviews lease/contract documents for accuracy and completeness, monitors compliance for program rules and takes immediate and appropriate action if necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring all records, verification's and work documents are adequately documented, monitor work processes for accuracy and efficiency by maintaining adequate quality control.
- Responsible for representing the agency at public functions, seminars and all other assigned public relations activities.
- Responsible for reviewing, purging and entering terminated or expired documents from tenant files in the data base for transfer to optical storage.
- Responsible for answering phones, retrieving messages and returning calls promptly.

Requirements:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or two to six years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license. Must be bondable. Certification in HCV (Housing Choice Voucher) Specialist is required. (Certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
