Treasurer / Payroll Clerk

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Treasurer / Payroll and Benefits Clerk. This full-time position is responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee benefit records, and administering benefits programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll encumbrances and develop contracts for district employees ensuring proper OCAS coding. - Process payroll on monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, tax withholding, and benefits enrollment.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and related policies.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports and tax documents as required.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate and timely onboarding of new employees concerning payroll and benefits.
• Assist in the annual benefits enrollment process and communicate changes to employees.
• Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and adhere to data protection regulations.
• Stay current with payroll and benefits laws and regulations to ensure compliance. - Maintain and enter data into treasury and complete associated reporting for receipting funds and clearing checks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
