Join our team as a compliance accountant in the cost and reporting area within the OSU Tax and Compliance department, where you’ll play a key role in the following functions:
Payroll & Benefits Reconciliation – Perform monthly benefit liability reconciliations, prepare audit workpapers, research variances, and assist with the annual fringe benefit rate proposal.
Cost & Rate Analysis – Support the review of store pricing and rate structures, conduct break-even analysis, and assist with Cost Accounting Standards compliance.
Indirect Cost (IDC) Rate Support – Assist with IDC rate proposals, analyze space survey results, and review financial data to ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance.
Financial Reporting & Special Projects – Contribute to key reports such as the HERD Survey and NIH Expenditures, process fund transfers, and collaborate on financial initiatives.

Position Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a business related field.
Univ Acct I-no Experience Required.
Univ Acct II-two years experience required.
Accuracy and detail-oriented mindset.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting data, identifying trends, and drawing meaningful conclusions to inform strategic initiatives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Teams, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Five or more years of related experience.
Understanding of advanced functions in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex situations, evaluate options, and make well-reasoned decisions.
Payroll processing experience.
