Job Summary :
Fire Service Training (FST) is the Oklahoma fire training authority. The Assistant Director will oversee and manage all aspects of our Accreditation programs, including those with Pro Board and IFSAC. In addition, this role will be responsible for streamlining business operations and formalizing office processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective functioning. The Assistant Director will work closely with University departments to ensure full compliance with University policies as they pertain to our department. This position will also play a key role in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external partners, contributing to long-term planning and asset management strategies.
Some instate and out of state travel is required to perform the duties of the position. Additional time outside of the normal work day schedule is also required on occasion.

Position Qualifications :
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Occupational Education, Fire Protection, or Safety Technology
Three (3) years of experience in management, including budgeting, leading and reporting, particularly in higher education, vocational education, or emergency services organizations.
IFSAC Site Team Lead
Qualified Pro Board site team member
Experience with running IFSAC and Pro Board accredited programs for a state entity.
Ability to read account ledgers, proficient with OSU Policy and Procedures, efficient at prioritizing work tasks and responsibilities in support of organizational goals.
Ability to analyze complex situations and make decisions based on analysis.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in business administration, management, fire protection and safety technology, occupational education.
7-10 years experience managing administrative, budget and information technology programs in higher education, vocational education or emergency services organizations. 10 years experience managing educational records and transcripts. 5 years experience managing databases.
IFSAC or Pro Board accredited certification as a Fire Instructor I and II Completion of National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer program.
