Position Summary :
Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking to fill a full-time non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). The primary responsibility of this position includes lecture and lab instruction in OMM within the first and second year curriculum. Additionally, the position will be actively involved in patient care; assist with supervising the third year OMM Teaching Service (medical students and residents) at the OSU Health Care Center Department of OMM; assist with supervising medical students and residents at the OSU Medical Center hospital OMM inpatient service; and other responsibilities as assigned. Salary and faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
50% Medical Student Education :
Within the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine curriculum provides lectures, small group discussions, lab instruction, assist with supervision of the OMM clerkship rotations as appropriate.
20% Resident Education :
Assist with supervision of existing residents while on the OSU Medical Center Hospital rotations.
20% Clinical Practice :
Clinical space will be provided for outpatient OMM services within the OSU Physicians Clinic system. Inpatient services will be provided at affiliated institutions.
10% Administrative :
Other duties as assigned initially by the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Department Chair. Duties may include departmental committees, curriculum review assignments, or evaluation of clerkship sites.
Environmental Hazards :
Possible exposure to hazardous materials, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine physician.
