P osition Summary:
The Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry position will be in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This position is actively involved in providing clinical services in the OSU System. Additionally, teaching of medical students and residents. Appropriate effort and activity in clinical research and service will also be necessary as well as a clinical record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. The position will work with existing Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences faculty.
100% Inpatient Clinical Practice: Perform psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and treatment. Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of a psychiatrist.

Position Qualifications:
Qualifications
- D.O. or M.D. degree; Doctor of Osteopathy or Medical Doctor; Psychiatry or related field
- Eligibility for licensure in the State of Oklahoma
- Board certification by the AOA or ABMS, or, board eligibility
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of all areas related to the clinical practice of psychiatry.
- Requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem solving skills, practice management experience, and the ability to effectively plan.
- Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records.
- Good communication and leadership skills are a positive.
- Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and providers.
