Job Title: Electricity Program Educator
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team as an Electricity Program Educator. This role will involve teaching and mentoring students in the High Voltage Lineman Program, as well as developing and updating course materials and curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach courses on electricity and powerline technology, including day and night classes or distance learning.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and provide them to administration when appropriate.
- Develop and update course materials and curriculum in conjunction with construction faculty, advisory committee representatives, general education faculty, and technical program faculty.
- Assume daily responsibility of housekeeping and maintenance of classrooms and laboratories.
- Provide tours for prospective students, parents, and other campus visitors.
- Routinely attend and participate in special events, such as graduation, student extra-curricular activities, advisory committee meetings, student move-in day, employee recognition functions, student club activities, field trips, etc.
Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, or a master's degree preferred. A minimum of five years of industry experience is required, with a proven track record of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior. Teaching experience in higher education is also preferred.
