Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is inviting highly motivated and qualified candidates to apply for a post doc fellow position in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). The selected candidate will be actively involved in Dr. Ying Zhang’s, an assistant professor in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NSF project titled RII Track 2-FEC: Accelerating Community-Centric Energy Transformation through AI-driven Digital Twinning for Climate-Aware Resilience. This is a full-time, 12-month position, sponsored by a recent NSF award with a monthly salary of $4,700 along with standard employee benefits. The position may be renewable for another 12 months based upon performance and funding availability. This position will be co-advised by Dr. Ying Zhang and Dr. Guoliang Fan to implement the dedicated project tasks in AI and data analytics for energy-climate nexus and contribute effectively to student advising, the preparation of research papers, deliver oral presentations at conferences and meetings.
Required Qualifications
1. Earned a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science;
2. Demonstrate experience and achievements in power and energy systems, data analytics, machine learning, optimization or control;
3. Have an outstanding academic track record and well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. We are looking for highly motivated researchers who can contribute to pioneering research projects that require creativity and initiative;
4. Have strong English communication skills to contribute effectively to the preparation of research papers and deliver oral presentations at conferences and meetings.

About the Principal Investigator
Dr. Ying Zhang is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at OSU, Stillwater, OK, U.S. Her research interests are rooted in power system situational awareness to develop grid-based interdisciplinary research overlapping climate change and data science. She received the National Scholarship for Highest Academic Distinction in China, the Frederick E. Terman Award for Graduate Students, and the 2023 IEEE Power and Energy Society Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award (one of four awardees for the Ph.D. students in power and energy systems who graduated in 2020-2022 worldwide). She has authored/co-authored more than 30 publications, including one Global ESI top 1% highly cited paper and two Best Papers. She serves as the secretary of the IEEE Task Force on Performance Evaluation of Distribution System State Estimation and Associate Editor for IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution.
