Job Summary:
Facilities Management is looking for a self-driven, customer-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team.
Responsibilities include receiving and unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against pack slips and Purchase Orders in Ok Corral and/or AiM. Inspecting and reporting any damage or discrepancies. Sorting receiving and disbursing items in designated areas. Responsible for updating inventory records, maintaining accurate stock levels, assisting with inventory counts and audits. Must be able to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment within one year of hire. Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
Additional responsibilities may include operating and inspecting material handling equipment in a safe manner. Deliver items to appropriate departments around Facilities Management. Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control. Perform receiving functions for all inbound freight to ensure no damage to the product or shortages exist. Work with freight carriers to resolve freight related issues. Coordinate and schedule the delivery of freight materials for internal and external customers. Work with FSS-Moves to ensure timely deliveries. Organize freight so that the dock remains free of clutter. Direct the loading and offloading activity on the receiving dock to ensure that freight handled correctly, safely and efficiently. Maintain campus fright logs, daily receiving logs, and daily vendor count logs.
The employee in this position may be required to work overtime after 4:30 pm and/or during non-business hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays & when the University is closed, if management deems it necessary; therefore, deeming you as essential personnel.
Work areas are both inside of buildings (warehouses) and outside. Working conditions would be dependent upon the weather conditions.
This position regularly stands, bends, stoops, lifts above the shoulders, is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.
Must use appropriate personal protective equipment as required (gloves, safety glasses, etc.). These items are not for personal use. All other duties as assigned.

High School/GED
Have before hire— and maintain after hire— a valid driver’s license for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required in the performance of job duties as assigned. Have within 1 year of hire forklift certification through OSU.
This position regularly stands, bends, stoops, lifts above the shoulders, is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to become proficient in the use of “AIM” Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software and the use of mobile technology.
Attentive to detail, organized, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior successful experience in warehousing, supply chain and inventory management.
Knowledge of trade’s materials and parts.
Microsoft Office experience proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
