TheSchoolofEducationalFoundations,LeadershipandAviation(SEFLA)intheCollegeof EducationandHumanSciencesatOklahomaStateUniversityisseekinga9-monthTeachingAssistant Professor in Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT) to begin in August 2025. Teaching Assistant Professor is a five-year, renewable, career-track position eligible for reappointment and promotion. We expect the individual filling this position to focus on providing outstanding instruction for the program’s undergraduate and graduate courses. Both experienced c olleaguesandrecent doctoral graduates are encouraged to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachundergraduateand/orgraduatelevelcoursesappropriatetothecandidate’sexpertise and program’s needs as well as mentor graduate teaching assistants who support undergraduate courses. Teaching load is expected to be up to 12 credit hours/semester.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Earneddoctorate inEducationalTechnology; Learning, Design, and Technology; Instructional Design and Technology;LearningSciences;or a closely related field.
A record of excellence in teaching in the field.
Expertise in theories, technologies, and methods associated with the fields of Learning Design and Technology, Educational Technology, and/or Learning Sciences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Substantial experience teaching in P-12 environments is strongly preferred. Excellence in online teaching will be highly valued,aswill unique skill sets/competenciesandcreativepedagogicalapproaches that contribute to student success. The ideal candidate will facilitate collaboration with other programs in the college as it relates to teaching or recruitment/service efforts, will exhibit leadership experience, and is committed to the success of all people. We are especially interested in candidates who demonstrate a commitment to OSU's land-grant mission and who are interested in empirically-based solutions for reducing educational disparities within Oklahoma and beyond.

The Learning, Design, and Technology program offers a Ph.D. in Education with a Learning, Design, & Technology option, a M.S. in Educational Technology with options in Educational Technology and School Library Media, and a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching. Educational technology courses also serve undergraduate programs in the OSU Professional Education Unit. Additionally, the program facilitates the College’s Emerging Technologies and Creativity research lab.
The College of Education and Human Sciences includes 7 academic units, 172 faculty, and nearly 200 full-time staff. Additional information regarding the College of Education and Human Sciences may be found at http://education.okstate.edu/ .
