As a full-time Guest Services Specialist in Valet, you will work Monday - Friday, 5a - 1:30p. No holidays or weekends required! This position qualifies for our discretionary quarterly bonuses and our full benefits package!
Responsibilities for Valet
- Greet and welcome guest to the establishment and offer professional valet services
- Accommodate guests by opening doors and assisting with luggage or other heavy items
- Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking lot
- Answer guests' questions regarding parking, physician offices in the complex and other available services
- Collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return
- Park guests' vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic laws
- Operate vehicles safely and responsibility
- Organize and file paperwork regarding guests' vehicles and daily transactions
Qualifications for Valet
- Proven safe driver and clean driving records is essential
- Valid personal car insurance is required
- Ability to communicate professionally
- Customer service experience and friendly demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast pace, with prolonged times of standing and/or walking for periods of time in the elements
- Accountability and personal integrity are essential as the nature of the position allows access to a client's personal and private information
- Ability to multitask and tend to several customers at once
- Experience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission
- Organizational skills are necessary to quickly recall the location of vehicles and their appropriate keys
The Guest Services Specialist holds a safety sensitive position, and is responsible for transporting patients, guests, and visitors to the appropriate department within the facility, as well as transporting patients from the recovery area to their designated inpatient room. The position also requires parking visitor’s vehicles, staffing registration desks, and to receive all patients, guests, and visitors, in a friendly and respectful manner. This position also provides assistance in the form of information about hospital services as well as facilitating consultation between physicians and patient families. You will be required to provide direction and answer general information inquires.
What’s required of you? High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with good driving record required. Drivers under 21 years of age will need to be approved by the insurance carrier. Current BLS certification or must be acquired within 30 days of hire date through the hospital.
Do I need experience? No experience required!
Specialty Knowledge Skills: Good interpersonal/customer service skills. Basic knowledge of a medical setting. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, and data entry.
