We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant. Successful candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of the functions of AP/AR, income statements, budgeting, and ERPs, including the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage working capital through oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for savings, risk mitigation, and reconcile variances in cash applications
· Work with management to schedule and prioritize projects on a macro level
· Assist in year-end audit requests
· Secure financial information and execute accurate reporting as per established accounting standards
· Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts to ledgers
· Process journal entries and reconcile bank statements in comparison to the general ledger
· Review and balance internal accounts, analyze variances, prepare appropriate reports, and monitor depreciable assets and loans
· Prepare and interpret financial summaries and provide reports to management on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
· Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and other accounting duties in a timely manner
· Assist in project financial management in our ERP (Jonas Construction) for specific contracts: booking, committed costs, revenue recognition, cash flow and timely close out of projects
· Effectively communicate with Project Managers during project administration, monitor PFR for proper cost application, project close out, etc.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
· 2 years’ experience in audit or construction industry preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft applications w/ strong Excel skills
· Demonstrated practical experience with ERP/accounting software preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and
· Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
· Ability to work well with diverse group of peers
· Self-motivated to work independently and balance workload assignments within time constraints
· Communicates in positive and respectful manner
· Ability to apply analytical and interpretive skills to problem solving
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
