Title: Quality Control Technician
Report To: Quality Control Director
Summary: The Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, quality, and consistency of our food and beverage products. This position is responsible for conducting routine quality control checks, performing laboratory analyses, and monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with all relevant food safety standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and results-driven individual with a strong understanding of food science principles and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cutting, coloring and testing of all vinegar to effectively supply the bottling line and bulk shipments.
- Testing of mustard for acids, solids, viscosity and correcting variations in the process.
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform various laboratory analyses, including microbiological, chemical, and physical tests, on food products and raw materials.
- Maintain detailed records of all quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and any non-conformance reports.
- Monitor production processes to identify and address any potential quality issues or deviations from established standards.
- Collaborate with production personnel to implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new quality control procedures and protocols.
- Conduct sensory evaluations to assess the taste, texture, aroma, and overall organoleptic qualities of food products.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Train production staff on quality control procedures, food safety practices, and relevant regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the quality control laboratory.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to product quality.
- Stay informed of the latest industry trends, regulatory updates, and advancements in food safety and quality control.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Director or Plant Management.
Safety Compliance:
- Adheres to and follows Food Safety, Food Quality and SQF program requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and any other applicable standards.
- Follows all program guidelines for Halal and Kosher certifications.
- Follows plant GMP’s.
Education/Experience:
- Two plus (2 ) years of progressively responsible production management experience in a manufacturing environment; hands-on experience with all essential duties.
- Bachelor of Science or Associate’s Degree in one of the following fields: Food Sciences, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or equivalent preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
