The Peer Recovery Support Specialist helps the Navigator to navigate clients into mainstream resources. PRSS assists clients in receiving the services needed and helps the client connect with those services. The PRSS also assists Navigator with day-to-day tasks related to program administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conducts recruitment/outreach and follow-up activities to unsheltered homeless individuals under the direction of the OPCS Navigator.
2. Deliver peer recovery support services.
3. Utilize experiential knowledge through supportive story telling.
4. Document services and information within the CT1 electronic health record.
5. Will complete VISPDAT Assessment form and review other criteria to determine needs of homeless/disabled individuals.
6. Meet billable expectations as set by OPCS.
7. Complete incident reports as needed.
8. Maintain client records and information in a confidential manner and in compliance with grant, OPCS, and HIPAA standards.
9. Attend all mandatory trainings.
10. May transport clients.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED. Driver’s License. Must possess and maintain valid CPR/First Aid certification. Completion of the State approved PRSS Academy. Minimum of six weeks of behavioral health work experience and preference of one year experience. Recent outreach experience with unsheltered homeless individuals in the geographical area. Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules. Cultural Competence of diverse populations. Bilingual, Bicultural and/or Veteran a plus. Must possess your own vehicle D.L/Insurance.
Salary : $16 - $19
