Position Overview :
The IT Manager will lead and manage our teams within the IT Shared Services department. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless IT operations for our corporate office in Chicago and our remote subsidiary locations. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, capable of motivating a team to deliver exceptional technical support. This includes timely issue resolution, proactive problem management, staff guidance and coaching, and consistent adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Essential Job Functions :
- Plan and direct the work of a team of technical support specialists, including day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective support delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues, providing hands-on support when necessary.
- Manage day-to-day standard operating procedures for technical support tasks.
- Streamline support and operations processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Identify area for improvement in technical support processes and implement changes to enhance service quality.
- Contribute to the annual enhancement of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with users, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding and resolution of technical issues.
