The Universal Banker positions, levels I, II, and III (Universal Banker, Senior Universal Banker, and Universal Relationship Banker), provide front-line customer service and sales, including opening and closing accounts, performing account maintenance, profiling customers for new sales opportunities, and basic Teller functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet sales and service goals by engaging in Bank sales processes, building strong customer relationships, and utilizing sales and customer service software
- Accurately open, close, and maintain customer accounts according to established policies and procedures
- Understand material covered in Personal Banker training manuals
- Utilize knowledge of Old Second products and services to advise customers
- Maintain high-level customer service to assist the branch in achieving highest customer service ratings
- Fulfill Tellers duties as needed, handling transactions and adhering to processes and procedures
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Universal Banker (Level 2):
- Manage a book of Retail Banking clients by maintaining regular contact and advising on Personal Banking matters
- Serve as a liaison to other business lines for their client base
- Deepen customer relationships and loyalty to the bank
Additional Responsibilities for Universal Relationship Banker (Level 3):
- Refer other lines of business, such as Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Commercial
Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and one year of related experience
- Become licensed with NMLS registration within 60 days
- Meet Bank training requirements
