What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Old Souls Farm?
General Duties:
The employee will report to the Food Safety/Quality Assurance Manager on a daily basis. The employee will be responsible for executing various food safety protocols and process set in place through multiple agencies (such as Ohio Department of Agriculture) and auditing (i.e. PrimusGFS and Global G.A.P.) standards.

The employee will be responsible for executing various food safety protocols and process set in place through multiple agencies (such as Ohio Department of Agriculture) and auditing (i.e. PrimusGFS and Global G.A.P.) standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring and programming Critical Control Points (CCPs)
- Perform inspections on products, equipment, and facility structure
- Ensuring employees are following food safety protocols and Good Manufacturing/Agricultural Practices
- Responsible for performing sanitation verification on equipment as required
- Responsible for recording and filling out record logs and documentation
- Assist in creating new food safety documents
- Collect samples for the lab when directed
- Perform other duties as required
Work Environment:
- When performing the duties of this job, there are multiple rooms all varying in different temperatures.
- The job will entail you working in multiple rooms with various frozen food products.
Physical Demand:
- The job will entail the employee to regularly walk and stand during the shift.
- The employee will have times of sitting, climbing (stairs), kneel, and crouch.
- The employee may occasionally have to lift up to 50 pounds.
