Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties and an understanding of effective cleaning techniques.

Must be able to work 5 days a week, 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. with weekend and holiday availability, required.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in both commercial and residential settings.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
- Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work, be self-motivated, and perform multiple tasks within a timely manner.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or facilities maintenance roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Skills in residential painting or porter services are advantageous.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures for various surfaces and materials.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups
- Position may require employees to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs occasionally
