Human Resources Generalist
Location: On-site position in Steamboat Springs, CO.
Employment Type: Full-Time – Hourly
Old Town Hot Springs is the non-profit center for health and wellness, providing recreation and education in aquatics and fitness for our members, guests, and community. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our team. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with employment regulations, streamlining processes, and fostering effective organizational operations. The HR Generalist will manage core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative support, while contributing to a collaborative and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate recruitment, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
- Manage new hire paperwork and maintain employee records.
- Conduct training sessions and support employee development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain and update HR systems, including transitioning processes to UKG.
- Support the development and implementation of policies and employee handbooks.
- Provide assistance with employee relations matters and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 years of HR experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (UKG Ready experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour, based on experience
