Job Title: Rides Lead

Reports To: Attractions Supervisor

Type of position: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Location: Tucson, AZ

Compensation: $17.00/hr. - $20.00/hr.

Job Summary: As the Rides Lead at Old Tucson Entertainment, you will support the Attractions Supervisor by overseeing daily ride operations and ensuring safety, all while creating a fun, engaging environment for guests. In this essential role, you’ll focus on delivering exceptional service and may occasionally dress in character to excite and invite visitors onto the rides.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Direct ride operations.
• Ensure all safety standards are met.
• Notify Attractions Supervisor of necessary maintenance and/or repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe space in and around rides.
• Regularly inspect rides and oversee ride operators to ensure proper and safe operations.
• Provide instruction and guidance to ride attendants.
• Resolve conflicts in an efficient manner.
• Perform duties as needed in instances of staff shortage.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Education, Skill And Work Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field.
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.
• Attention to detail paired with strong work ethic required.
• Good communication skills.
• Be tactful and diplomatic.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Knowledge of general safety procedures.
• Knowledge of the rides and local area.
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency response courses are recommended.
• Must pass a background check.
  
  

Work Environment

• Ability to pull, push, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Significant time spent outdoors in areas with uneven or unstable footing, often in extreme heat.
• Extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays (Required)
