Job Description
The responsibilities of the Safety Security Specialist include assessing potential risks, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with national security regulations. Implementing and managing security plans to protect an organizations personnel and assets from theft, violence, and other threats.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing security protocols, be able to manage and mitigate potential security risks, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
This includes conducting security risk assessments, developing and enforcing security protocols, and investigating security incidents. Conduct security assessments for organizations, and design security systems and processes. May specialize in areas such as physical security or the safety of employees and facilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to protect organizational resources
Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards
Coordinate security measures for transportation and distribution of company assets
Investigate security incidents and prepare reports detailing the incidents and responses
Provide training to employees on security protocols and procedures
Work with law enforcement and other security agencies as required
Review and assess security risks, threats and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks
Monitor and control access to facilities and secure areas within the organization
Manage the installation and maintenance of security systems like CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
Ensure that the organization is following all relevant local, state, and federal regulations regarding security
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Industrial Security Specialist or similar role.
Knowledge of industrial security protocols and procedures.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments.
Proficiency in security systems and technology.
Knowledge of national security regulations and standards.
Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice or related field.
