Focus: The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting plant operations through detailed financial analysis and reporting. This position is responsible for analyzing plant costs, revenues, and budgets to provide insights that guide decision-making and drive efficiency. As a key finance partner to operations, the Financial Analyst helps ensure accurate forecasting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Financial Analyst Essential Job Functions:
- Lead monthly forecasting processes, partner with operations to prepare accurate financial projections and analyze variances to plan.
- Perform monthly close activities, including preparation of complex journal entries and reconciliation of key accounts.
- Support the development of annual budgets and standard cost updates and analysis.
- Build and maintain dynamic reporting tools (e.g. expense tracking, production metrics) using Excel and business intelligence software to support data-driven decisions.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain functions by identifying financial impacts and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with inventory control processes including cycle counting, annual physical inventory, and variance investigation.
Financial Analyst Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree* within a business related field required; Accounting or Finance Preferred
- 5 years of accounting experience; manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (lookups, array formulas, pivot tables).
- Experience with business intelligence tools (SAP BI, Power BI)
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
- Continuous Improvement/Lean Project Leadership experience preferred.
- Prior Winchester experience in a relevant position preferred.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
